Well it’s official! Jen and I have made it past Week 1 of our Whole 30. I touched on a little bit of meal prepping in my last post so I thought I would share where I get some of the recipes for my current Whole 30 adventure.
The best ranch dressing ever: http://www.planksloveandguacamole.com/2014/05/ranch-dressing.html
This ranch dressing is so good and goes with just about everything.
I had the honor of working out in the same box as Mel several years ago. This chili recipe is a staple in my house. Also, if you don’t have Mel’s cookbooks do yourself a favor and order them now!
Cauliflower Soup: http://insimoneskitchen.com/whole30-approved-cauliflower-soup/
This is a lunch go to for me. Easy to pack up and take into work. Tastes a lot like potato soup to me which is probably why I love it.
I have made this salad with and without the paleo mayo and I like it both ways.
Whole30 Mayo: http://whole30.com/2014/05/mayo/
This is a great article with tips and tricks to help you when making your mayo.
Chicken & Zucchini Poppers: http://www.onelovelylife.com/chicken-zucchini-poppers-gf-df/
I like to double this recipe. That way we always have an easy grab and go “snack” ready to go.
Raw Carrot Cake Bites: http://lovelycraftyhome.com/2014/05/05/whole-life-challenge-recipe-raw-carrot-cake-bites/
These little bites are amazing. They are really handy when you need a little pick me up before you head to the gym. These are great to have in the house when you are craving something sweet. Big bonus is that they freeze really well too.
Amish One-Pan Ground Beef Skillet: http://smilesandwich.com/2014/07/25/amish-one-pan-ground-beef-and-cabbage-skillet/
With this recipe be sure to sub out your butter for ghee and check for sugars in your canned tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
Buffalo Ranch Stuffed Peppers: http://www.primallyinspired.com/buffalo-ranch-stuffed-peppers/
This chicken mixture is also really great on top of a baked potato or sweet potato.
So these are a few of the recipes that I am living off of these days. Each week, I will post more recipes round-ups. Hopefully you will try some of these out and love them as much as I do. Remember, if the recipe calls for something that isn’t Whole 30 compliant switch it out for a version of that ingredient that is or in some cases omit it all together.
